a customs office, although it did start out as a defence tower it has also been a jail, a lighthouse and also a telegraph post. Its the most attractive telegraph post Pink Monkey have seen!

The Tagus is river is Iberia's largest

At up to 14Km wide, is said to be large enough to contain all the warships in the world.  Pink Monkey cannot arrange warships but we can arrange a yacht hire on the Tagus for your Lisbon Stag Weekend or Lisbon Hen Weekend.

Lisbonians like to bath naked!

OK maybe not in this century but in previous centuries, one local tradition was for the (daring) people of Lisbon to take their weekly baths by descending the steps of the Praça do Comércio to bathe nude in the river, causing and right old scandal at the time.

Lisbonians’ are bathed in sunlight Lisbon has one of the mildest climates in Europe.

The city is considered to be the sunniest capital in Europe, with an annual average of 2900-3300 hours of sunshine.  Perfect city to hit the beach on your Hen Party in Lisbon.

The people of Lisbon are officially mad about football

Benfica football club is listed in the Guinness Book of Records for having the largest number of fans for any global football club with an estimated total of 14 million worldwide and over 170,000 registered paying supporters.  Why not join them on Stag Party in Lisbon, Pink Monkey can arrange tickets during your stay.

Lisbon was destroyed

On the 1st November 1755 as a massive earthquake hit Lisbon and very nearly destroyed it. Tipping the scales at 8.9 took the lives of 40,000 people and could be felt as far away as Scotland and Norway. The area of Alfama was the only area to remain standing. Lisbon is “the town of seven hills” Lisbon is actually built on 7 hills which are: Castelo, Graca, Monte, Penha de Franca, S.Pedro de Alcantara, Santa Catarina and Estrela.
